Hair Care Tips

  • What is Raw Hair?

Raw Hair is hair that has NOT been altered or chemically processed in any way. Dluxx Hair Co.'s Raw Hair is one of the absolute most natural, pure, & 100% authentic hair on the market.

  • What does the term “wefted” mean?

Wefted hair is hair used for weaving. It is sewn or bonded (with special bonding glue) into a track/braid ready for the weaving process. A weft looks like a curtain or hair stitched together along the top.

  • Does this hair break/shed?

Any hair that has been manufactured to be stitched on a weft is entitled to experience minimum shedding which is absolutely normal. Minimum shedding (the hair will be never have a noticeable or drastic decrease in its density or volume). However, we strongly advise you to handle your tresses with care as it is highly important.

  • Does the hair appear natural?

Absolutely! No one would even know that you have in hair extensions unless you told them. That's how natural looking & light as a feather our hair is. Your tresses can be worn while exercising, in a pool, sauna &/or spa. Whether its being touched by someone else or the wind, it'll sustain & still look luxurious.

  • Can the weft be cut?

Yes. They can be cut without unraveling, as our wefts are reinforced & secure. However, we do not suggest cutting our weft.

  • How much does each bundle weigh?

Each bundle weighs between 3.2-3.5oz

  • How many bundles do I need for a full head?

We suggest if you get,

  • Lengths 14-16in - You'll Need 2+ bundles
  • Lengths 18-24in - You'll Need 3+ bundles
  • Lengths 26-30in - You'll Need 4+ bundles
  • Lengths 30in & Up - You'll need 5+ bundles
  • Will each weft be the same length?

Raw Hair is first weighed at 3.2-3.5oz & is sewn by hand on a weft, so no weft will be the exact same.

  • Can I dye/color this hair?

Yes, this is 100% raw human hair that is not processed at all. So you can color your tresses. However, if you have no experience coloring, we do recommend that you get your tresses colored or processed by a professional.

  • Is Platinum Blonde Hair Alot of Work?

Yes. Anytime you bleach/process tresses to be #613 Platinum Blonde, it will require high maintenance because now the tresses will be fragile & easier to break off due to the chemicals. Your Platinum Blonde tresses will require daily hydration (we suggest Argan Oil) & require a weekly wash using a Hydrating Shampoo & Conditioner.

  • What type of hair care products should I use?

You should treat your tresses like it was your natural hair. Use good quality shampoo & conditioning products. Conditioning your tresses is an extremely important tip to help keep them soft, manageable & luxurious. We recommend using a deep conditioner on your raw tresses once weekly. Be sure to avoid heavy oil use or harsh styling products.

  • What do I do to my hair in the morning?

We advise that you gently comb/brush through your tresses each morning with a wide tooth comb or paddle brush (as small combs can snag the hair & cause unwanted shedding). Work your way up from the ends to your scalp area, when you start at the ends it helps keep pressure off the weft area & is a good way to maintain the longevity of your tresses.

  • Can I wash my hair?

Yes. Maintaining clean tresses is an important factor in making them last longer. Before washing your tresses: Gently brush through & remove all tangles & knots. Next wet a small portion of your tresses at a time. You can use a good detangling shampoo, & apply a small amount of moisturizer. Be sure to distribute products evenly throughout your tresses. Always wash in a downward motion. After washing & conditioning your tresses, you can apply a good quality leave-in conditioner, which is always a great way to maintain your tresses' super softness & moisture.

  • What do I do to my hair at night?

You can braid your tresses into 1-2 big braids, wrap your hair, or tie your tresses into a ponytail/bun & place a satin bonnet on top while you sleep. You must NEVER sleep on your tresses wet because its known to matte/tangle them together, making it difficult to keep your tresses the way you want. After washing, make sure your tresses are completely dry before you go to sleep. Rolling your tresses in rods at night will maintain your curls & limit the amount of heat you have to use daily.

  • Is there maintenance involved with the up keep of this hair?

Yes. You should schedule your touch up or re-installation service appointment every 3-6 weeks. Depends on how well you maintenance your tresses.

  • Can I go swimming?

Yes. You may swim in pools &/or hot tubs. We recommend putting your tresses into 1-2 braids or pulling it up into a ponytail before swimming to avoid tangling. It is best to wash & condition your tresses immediately after swimming.

  • How often can I wash my hair?

As often as you see fit.

  • How long does the hair last?

Your tresses are meant for longevity. They are reusable. Treat your tresses like your own hair, meaning handle with good care & it will last longer. Depending on you maintain your tresses, they will last 1-3years.

  • What is the definition of Raw & Remy?

Raw” means the tresses have NOT been altered or chemically processed in any way, shape, or form. Guaranteed to be free of any hair color & cuticles aligned in its original state. “Remy” means the tresses have been processed chemically or by steam. Raw tresses are less likely to shed & tangle, which are problems we want no parts of.

*** Raw Hair is the most luxurious & highest quality of hair extensions on the market. Each bundle/weft can slightly vary in texture & pattern being that it comes from different donors. As stated before NO two bundles are exactly the same. ***
